Maham’s
Temple
Maham’s
temple is the second in a series of installations
created from the mythologies I have been
reinterpreting. The temple is a fertility
temple, in which ceremonial offerings are
given to the goddess Maham, god of the
harvest and creation. She is the creator
of the universe, from whom all things come
and to which all things return in death.
She also gave to mankind the tools to create
civilization. The walls of the temple depict
scenes from many of her stories. The figures
inside are giving offerings to her in the
hope that this year will have a successful
harvest.
